2026 American Indians into Health Professions (AIHP)

Summer Sessions

When

All Day, May 31 – June 26, 2026

Where

Youth Session (May 31 - June 5): 
High School Juniors and Seniors

Open to high school students who identify as American Indian or Alaska Native and are currently or will be enrolled in Junior (11th grade) or Senior (12th grade) years of high school education.

Adult 1 Session (June 7 - June 12): 
Adults and Working Professionals

Open to individuals who identify as American Indian or Alaska Native and who have not completed an advance educational degree. This session will aim to provide pathways and exposure to health professions for individuals taking a “non-traditional” route to higher education or to a health profession.

  • Working professionals who have not earned an educational degree
  • Vocational rehabilitation participants/One Stop participants
  • GED students/graduates
  • Individuals who are seeking to switch careers to a health profession (Example: Switching from cosmetology or automotive to a health career)
  • Individuals who have taken more than a 1-year break from education (Example: a student who has completed a high-school degree but has not completed any educational courses since graduation OR an individual who completed some college level courses but did not earn a degree)
Adult 2 Session (June 21 - June 26): 
Current College Students in Undergraduate Studies

Open to current students who identify as American Indian or Alaska Native and are currently pursuing their Undergraduate studies either at a community college, tribal college, or university.
